John Cooper is a Director at JRE Partners and a member of the firm’s investment team. He is responsible for underwriting, executing and managing investment opportunities on behalf of the firm. Over his career, John has worked on transactions spanning common and preferred equity and senior construction lending across various asset classes. John previously was a member of the investment team at Junius Real Estate Partners, where he joined at its inception in 2011. Prior to Junius, John worked in the Urban Investment Group of Goldman Sachs, where he was involved in the investment of proprietary capital in urban real estate across the United States, and in Goldman’s real estate investment banking group where he helped advise a variety of publicly traded REITs and real estate operating companies. John holds a B.A. in Economics from Hamilton College with a minor in government.
